Troubleshooting Common Issues

I Can't Log In

  1. Check you're using the email address you signed up with
  2. Try Forgot Password to reset
  3. Make sure your email is verified (check inbox for the verification link)
  4. Disable browser extensions that might block authentication (especially privacy extensions)

My Scores Aren't Saving

  1. Check your internet connection — disconnect/reconnect WiFi
  2. Reload the page (you'll be prompted to confirm if you have unsaved changes)
  3. Check if your browser is in private/incognito mode that blocks cookies — switch to a normal window
  4. Open browser DevTools → Console — if you see errors, screenshot and email hello@gamestally.com

Presenter View Shows Old Data

  1. Click the Refresh button in Presenter View
  2. Check the auto-refresh is working (look for live polling)
  3. If still stale, close and reopen the Presenter View tab
  4. Verify the URL is your current event's token (not a stale token from a deleted event)

I Can't Add A 7th Team Or 4th Event

You're on Free tier (limit: 6 teams per event, 3 events). Upgrade to Pro for 50 teams per event and 30 events. White Label is unlimited.

Educator Pricing Isn't Applying

  1. Check your registered email is your school email (not personal)
  2. If your school's domain isn't recognised, email hello@gamestally.com with your institution's name and domain
  3. Verification email might be in spam — check there

Stripe Checkout Isn't Loading

  1. Disable ad blockers (Stripe is sometimes blocked)
  2. Try a different browser
  3. Check your network/firewall isn't blocking Stripe
  4. Email hello@gamestally.com if persistent

My Password Reset Link Doesn't Work

  1. Check the link hasn't expired (links expire after 1 hour)
  2. Click Forgot Password again to get a new link
  3. Make sure you're clicking the link from the same browser/device you initiated from

  • A description of what's happening
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • Screenshots if possible
  • What browser and device you're using
